Seal faces are manufactured from combinations such as Carbon vs Ceramic, Silicon Carbide vs Carbon, or even Tungsten Carbide vs Carbon, depending on the intended use and the nature of the fluid being sealed. These material pairings provide a balance of hardness, chemical compatibility, and thermal resistance. The carbon face is often resin-impregnated to enhance wear life, while the mating face is polished to a fine finish to reduce friction and leakage.

The secondary sealing elements, such as O-rings, are available in Viton®, Nitrile (NBR), EPDM, or PTFE, offering flexibility in application environments. These elastomers are selected based on fluid type, temperature range, and desired durability. For example, Viton is widely chosen for its chemical resistance and performance under elevated temperatures.

All metallic components in the HE28 seal are typically made of stainless steel SS304 or SS316, depending on the chemical environment and client specifications. These materials ensure mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, particularly in wet or mildly corrosive conditions.

The HE28 is engineered to operate at pressures up to 10 bar, and shaft speeds up to 3000 RPM, with a working temperature range of -20°C to +120°C. This makes it well-suited for water pumps, HVAC systems, agricultural pumps, light oil systems, and utility pumps in industries such as food processing, textile, pulp and paper, and general manufacturing.
