The primary sealing faces are typically composed of Silicon Carbide, Tungsten Carbide, or Resin-Impregnated Carbon, chosen based on specific fluid compatibility. These materials are known for their superior hardness and resistance to thermal shock, abrasion, and chemical attack. The mating ring is precisely lapped to ensure a leak-tight seal, even in demanding applications.

The secondary sealing elements, such as O-rings or gaskets, are made from elastomers like Viton, EPDM, or Nitrile (NBR). Each of these materials is selected for their chemical resistance and flexibility across a broad temperature range. The metallic components of the HE92B-53—springs, retainers, and gland plates—are fabricated from stainless steel grades SS316 or SS304, offering excellent structural integrity and corrosion protection.
